Too quiet at home? Looking for that coffee-shop vibe without actually having to leave the house?

Come join me, Dee,
(the) ADHD Writing Coach,
every Tuesday online for the

virtual coWriting Café!

The what now?

The coWriting Café is a free online co-working group specifically for writing together, made for neurodivergent humans like me (and you?) who find writing so much easier when they have company.

You might not call yourself a "Writer."

But writing is part of your gig, so you write, because you have to (don't we all), even if it's "just" writing emails (and sometimes emails can be the worst, amiright?).

And for you (and me) writing is just sooo painful.

Or even if it's not so painful, it sure gets stale and/or lonely sometimes, writing by yourself day after day with no outside inspiration.

So you go to the coffee shop just for the buzz of conversation and the fpsshhtt!!! of the cappuccino machine. Somehow the presence of other humans working and writing makes it so much easier to write.

Weirdly, online co-working also works wonders. Even without being together physically -- and without the buzz of conversation (we're all muted) and fpsshhtt! of the cappuccino machine -- there seems to be enough mutual accountability to get some writing done.

Co-working with Dee, I just realized what people WITHOUT ADHD might feel like, and how they get so much different stuff done to completion! Co-working with Dee I do FOCUSED WORK, knowing there will be empathy or a "reset button" if I need to re-center.
I may have just found the fountain of youth!

CoWriting for neurodivergent humans

A free online (co)writing group made especially for writing

Tuesdays, 1-3pm Eastern
(
Zoom link upon registration)

What to expect

Sessions are weekly, but you don't have to attend every week. And you don't have to sign up separately each week. Just register once, and you're done.

How does a coWriting session work?

  • timed writing sprints (20-30 minutes) with short breaks between sprints (5-10 minutes)
  • every session begins with a few minutes of guided mindfulness to help you settle, and a 5-minute warm-up sprint to, well, warm up
  • a prompt is offered for the warm-up sprint
  • quick check-in and check-out, with an opportunity (but no obligation) to say how you're doing, what you intend to work on, how things went for you (empathy guaranteed, no matter what)
  • no response to your check-in except to cheer you on
  • no advice, no chitchat, no extended conversation, no judgement
  • you're welcome to ask me questions about writing and/or ADHD -- just DM me in the chat and I'll open a breakout room so we can have a short 1:1 without disturbing others

No judgement

Over the past year, this group has been nurturing a kind, respectful, peaceful space that's safe for adult humans of all kinds, whatever their brain wiring, gender identification, race, spiritual practice, culture, body shape, socio-economic status, or age (except you have to be over 18).

We write and support each other, quietly and peacefully, writing on our own, with joy (mostly) and in good company (always) (always!).

If you're not cool with all of that we probably won't get along, especially if you feel a need to be unkind in any way.

(P.S. If swearing offends you, it might get uncomfortable sometimes. Six weeks working in a fish plant in my 20s = potty mouth for life. )

Still with me? Great!
